Mobility etched into the reality of the 21st century is on the one hand a derivative of
emerging necessities and needs in the changing political and social conditioning, and on the
other hand the result of personal choices made by individuals, which are also influenced by
technological progress and accelerated development.
Multiculturalism, which accompanies mobility, is becoming a part of everyday life of many
communities, and the need to get involved in an active and participating neighborhood is an
undeniable fact.
Social inclusion is realized throughout various dimensions and areas: the job market,
education, being a part of civil society, but also through participation in cultural life. The
project “Along the route/track of EU migration museums…” aims to analyze good practices
worked out by migration museums which function as exceptional examples of cultural
institutions in the process of social inclusion.
