Växjö – Utvandrarnas hus

The House of Emigrants in Växjö presents the emigration period between 1850 and 1930,
when 1,3 million Swedes left for the United States. The institution is located in the historical
Swedish emigration region of Kronoberg.
The House of Emigrants was opened in August of 1968 and is the biggest Nordic institution
focusing on Swedish emigration to North America.
